Welcome and thank you for visiting our website!  We are a small home-based breeder located in northeast Iowa committed to raising healthy, well-socialized dachshund puppies.  Our dogs and puppies live together with us in our home and are family pets first and foremost.  We carefully screen all prospective homes and believe in matching each family individually to the puppy best suited for them.  We have both smooth and longcoat dachshunds in a variety of colors and patterns.  Take a look around and enjoy your visit!

We are in the process of changing what we feed here at Jenny's Dachshunds!  Lots of time and research has gone into our decision to feed a more species-appropriate diet.  As we make the transition to a diet of primarily RAW food for our doxies, we will be developing a page for our website to explain what we feed and why and to provide resources for our puppy buyers and anyone who wants to learn more about it!  Look for the link here soon!

American Kennel Club We breed only AKC registered Dachshunds...no other breeds and we use no other registries.     

 

 We always prefer to meet new puppy owners in person, however, we realize that is not always possible.  
 
Air shipping with American Airlines can be arranged for the actual cost of ticket, travel expenses, health certificate and travel crate, usually around $300. Contact us for more details.
 
 
 
The veterinary needs of our dogs and puppies are cared for by Dr. Tom Shroyer, DVM and the other veterinarians and staff at the Decorah Veterinary Clinic.  We welcome you to visit with them about us and our puppies and have given blanket permission for such communication to any person interested in one of our puppies.  We are very proud of the high level of care our dogs receive at home and at the clinic!

Before you make the decision to add a new puppy to your family, please read "How Could You?" and remember that a dog is a life-long commitment.  If at any time in the life of your  puppy you become unable to care for him, Jenny's Dachshunds will always take him back to help in locating a new home.  We never want any of our puppies to find themselves in a shelter or rescue.
